8 Months Old!

Oh my goodness - 8 months old already! Here are some highlights of what is going on in the world of Natalie:

• She is still a little bit of a thing - going to the doctor tomorrow for another weight check. We saw a nutrionist and they had us measure how much she is eating - and she is getting plenty! We just think she is little - but appreciate the extra care that all her docs take.





• Still not mobile, but that's OK. As much as I want her to start crawling, I do love being able to set her down and know that she will stay relatively put for a little while.



• She has a little play mat in the living room that she just loves playing on and dumping her toys all over. She is definitely into all of her toys and has her favorites.



• She also loves playing in her room - we try to switch it up every once in a while just for a change of scenery.



• She takes three naps a day - usually about an hour - 1.5 hours after she wakes up, then around 11 or noon she takes a 2 hour one, and then fights tooth and nail the third nap. But being awake from 1/2ish until 7 is just too much for a little one. She usually finally gives in. She is sleeping great at night - usually goes down at 7 and up around 6:30 or 7am. Sometimes wakes up once to eat, but not every night.



• Refuses to nurse anymore. :( Makes me sad. I am pumping, but she is on about half milk, half formula.





• Loves her baby puffs thanks to her BFF Jack. Has eaten cheerios too. Likes eating anything in her mesh paci thing. Prunes are her all time favorite food (crazy girl!). She gets oatmeal and fruit twice a day, and veggies for dinner. She also loves baby yogurt.



• She is in Kindermusik and really likes it. It is so neat watching her soak it all in and watch all the bigger babies crawl/walk around.



• She is still the light of our lives and when she laughs her deep belly laugh, it still brings tears to my eyes each and every time. I am so thankful for her - she is the best thing!!
