Our little Bug had a big weekend being the center of attention. We headed to Michigan for the first time. My grandmas were dying to see her, but didn't want to travel with the yucky weather that could spring up at any minute.. so we packed up and went to them. We saw so many more people than we thought we would! We got to my grandma's house and my parents, brother and sis-in-law, aunts and uncles, cousins, my other grandma... all were there to hang out and meet our little girl. It was great! We felt so incredibly loved. Although the only downside was we didn't get to hold her as much as my mom was hogging her for most of Saturday! haha!
Sunday, on the way home, we stopped in to see Matt's sister and our niece and had lunch with them. I wish we could have stayed longer - but we had to get back so Matt could go to work today.
Knock on wood - she has been doing great sleeping lately. Friday and Saturday night she slept for 6 hours straight each night! Last night she fell asleep at 8 and I figured it wouldn't last, but since Matt was at work, I figured I would try to put her down and at least close my eyes for a little bit...well we both woke up at midnight! Good girl! She was up for a while after that, but only because she had an upset tummy and threw up so we had to get us cleaned up... but then she slept for 3 more hours, ate, then 3 more hours, and she is back asleep now.
It was such a great weekend and we were so glad we could go see everyone. We won't be able to just get in the car and go visit for a weekend for much longer - as we will be packing up and moving this August again (location TBD!)... so I am so glad we could go and enjoy family more frequently while they are so close.
