We took our first trip to the doctor today for something other than well-baby visits. Because I have an un-well baby. :( Yesterday, Bug started gagging a lot and choking, which of course freaked me out!! Her sleep has been kind of off too since Tuesday. So, in we went today, and come to find out she does have a cold (although her lungs are perfectly clear) and she also has thrush. Poor little thing. The doctor thinks the cold is going to get worse before it gets better, but she has been doing better today than she was yesterday. So, hopefully that is a good sign. We can't do much for the cold besides saline drops and the stupid nose sucky thing (which I swear doesn't really work). There is a decongestant that we can get, but the doctor doesn't want us using it unless she isn't eating. For the thrush we have to do a cream for me, and drops in her mouth 4 times a day. Poor thing. She is doing OK though! Been napping on and off all day and just wants to be held until she is completely asleep, which is OK with this mommy who loves her snuggles more than anything!
I just hate that my little girl is sick though.... hoping she is better ASAP!
Hope she feels better soon! Poor baby. Kiddie being sick is no fun at all.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the nose thing..... when C was sick the dr. was able to get so much out, and made it look totally easy.
