Our Weekend at the Yurt

Wow- how is it Sunday already? We had a great time at the Yurt this weekend. We got there on Friday afternoon and were surprised by how much snow there was. A lot more than we have on our side of the state. We got unpacked and started a fire to start making dinner. We played a few games (Scrabble, Moncala, Speed - Score: Katie - 5, Matt - 1!). And we read a ton. Saturday we made breakfast and coffee and headed out for an afternoon hike. The snow was so deep so it took a long time and we are super sore today. But in a good way. I so needed to get out after being cooped up in the house for more than 4 weeks. We took some pictures in the snow, took a nap, read some more, and ate some more. I think we got too much sleep - we both had a hard time sleeping last night and were up and making breakfast way to early today. It was a great time with no TVs, no connection with the outside world, and time to think about our babies and talk about our future. We love going there! Here are some pics:

Waiting for dinner to cook. Brrr!
Eating a nice, warm dinner!

Our hike in the woods.
As we were making the pictures below, these two stayed around and watched us.... interesting, huh?!

We miss our Peanut and Pickle.

We also got the sad news that my Aunt passed away on Thursday night. RIP Aunt Marty. We will forever miss you!
